Fighting for people who have been told by society that they’re voiceless, fighting for people who have been told by society that they’re valueless. I don’t know about other people, but the church where I go on Sunday teaches me that we’re all equal and that we’re all important and our society may not treat people that way, but that’s what gets me out of bed in the morning and motivates me to go into the office and fight for folks because society doesn’t treat everyone like they’re equal and people do get exploited and pushed around and injured because it feels like out there in the world that people think there are individuals or companies that are untouchable, it’s wrong or unpatriotic to hold these companies, or these individuals responsible, that’s just so wrong, and it creates the idea that companies or individuals can go out there and do whatever the hell they want.
And, I love standing up for our clients and saying, “You may think you can do whatever the hell you want, but not today and not with these people.” Standing in between our clients and the person that’s trying to exploit them and saying, “You may think that you can hurt this person over here, but you’re going to have to come through me to do it.”
